,Behind her single in the field

 !Yon , solitary Highland lass

;Reaping and singing by herself 

 !Stop here , or gently pass

,Alone she cuts and binds the gain

 ;And sings a melancholy strain 

Oh listen ! for the vale profound

Is overflowing with the sound
